What’s the Difference Between a Medium and a Psychic?

Not sure if you need a medium or a psychic? While the two practices are often confused, they serve different purposes and involve distinctly different skills. From our point of view here are the key differences so you can decide which path is right for you.

What Does a Medium Do?

A medium connects with the Spirit World to get information from their spiritual guide. This connection requires years of rigorous training to develop the ability to raise our energetic vibration and interpret the messages accurately.

Mediumship focuses on:

• gaining clarity and guidance for your current life,

• identifying blockages and how to overcome them to get you on track,

• connecting with passed loved ones,

• understanding spiritual lessons unique to your journey.

What Does a Psychic Do?

Psychics, on the other hand, work with tools like Tarot cards, palmistry, astrology, or numerology to interpret the energy around you. They have access to insights from when you were born, ie what you were meant to do. The difficulty is that only a handful of people stay on track to do what they were meant to do.

While psychics offer valuable insights, their readings don’t involve connecting with the Spirit World, therefore they can't provide up to date information.

What About “Psychic Mediums”?

The term “psychic medium” is a misunderstanding. Someone can be either a psychic or a medium, depending on their abilities. Mediums work directly with the Spirit World, while psychics interpret the energy you were born with.
