This is one of the most common — and misunderstood — questions in the spiritual world. While the terms are often used interchangeably, psychics and mediums are not the same.

Here’s a simple way to understand the distinction:

• A psychic tunes into your personal energy field, emotions, and potential life paths.

• A medium connects directly to the Spirit World to receive guidance and messages from Spirit Guides and passed loved ones.

Both offer different types of insight — and which one is right for you depends on what you’re looking for.

What Does a Medium Do?

A medium links with the Spirit World through a trained connection to a Spiritual Guide. This ability doesn’t come from intuition - it takes years of disciplined training to raise our energetic vibration, hold the connection, and receive clear, accurate messages.

Mediumship focuses on helping you:

• Receive messages from loved ones in Spirit

• Understand spiritual lessons unique to your path

• Identify emotional or energetic blockages

• Gain clarity about your current situation and how to move forward

At Evolve Spiritual, we do not use external tools (like Tarot cards or crystals). All information comes directly through our Guide in Spirit with honesty, integrity, and compassion.

What Does a Psychic Do?

Psychics typically work with external tools such as Tarot, astrology, numerology, or palmistry to interpret the energy around you. Their focus is often on the path you were born to take — or the energy you carry based on your name, personality, timing, and circumstances.

Psychics may offer:

• Future predictions based on current energy

• Guidance on romantic, career, or life decisions

But unlike mediums, psychics do not connect with the Spirit World. This means the information is not “live” or Spirit-directed — it’s based on energy patterns and often filtered through interpretation.

What About “Psychic Mediums”?

You might hear the term “psychic medium” used often — but it’s a bit of a misconception.

While some people use both abilities, it’s more accurate to say someone is working as a medium (communicating with Spirit) or as a psychic (reading energy or using tools). At Evolve Spiritual, we work solely as Mediums, directly with our Guides in Spirit.
