Over the years, we’ve spoken with hundreds of people just like you - maybe grieving, maybe just curious, maybe quietly hoping there is something more. Whether you’re booking a reading for the first time or simply exploring the idea, it’s natural to have questions. Sometimes even big ones.

This article brings together the 10 most common questions we’ve been asked — along with honest, straight-forward answers based on real experiences with real people.

1. Can You Really Talk to My Loved One Who Has Passed Away?

Yes — though it's more accurate to say we connect to them and receive information from those who have passed. Spirit uses our senses — images, feelings, words, even smells - to communicate with us, for you.

It’s not like picking up a phone line, but it’s often deeply clear, comforting, and unmistakably them.

2. Is Mediumship Real? Or Am I Just Being Told What I Want to Hear?

We work with a Spiritual guide who we 'tune into' to get the information. A good Medium doesn’t guess or fish for information. You should feel that the information is specific, accurate, and personal — things no one else could know. The goal is healing, not performance. If a reading ever feels vague or forced, speak up and ask questions. We encourage clients to listen openly and trust their own inner knowing to validate the information. Usually clients hear the "truth" in what they are being given.

3. What’s the Difference Between a Medium and a Psychic?

About half of our new clients want to know this. A psychic uses tools, intuition, and extrasensory perception to provide insight, often about the future or situations.

Mediums, like us, energetically connect directly with our Spiritual Guide who provides information straight from the Spirit World. This connection is different and focused on healing and guidance.

4. Can you predict my future?

Many people want to know what lies ahead — love, career, or life direction.

While Mediumship is more about connection and guidance than prediction, we do share insights from Spirit that highlight opportunities or challenges ahead.

The future is not fixed, so our guidance helps you make empowered choices rather than rely on certainty. Spirit may offer guidance about your path or upcoming opportunities, but Mediumship isn't about fortune-telling. It’s more about clarity, healing, and connection than predicting lottery numbers or timelines.

5. What if nothing happens or no one comes through?

This is a very common fear (around 70% of new clients mention this) but it never happens. Mediums work by connecting to our Guide. They are always there - never ever not once have they not appeared to help us!

6. Can you read over Zoom or phone, or does it have to be in person?

Since the pandemic, this question has come up frequently. The spirit connection isn’t limited by distance. We can connect with our Guides, your loved ones and you just as clearly over Zoom, phone, or in person.

The key is for you to be in a quiet, private space with minimal distractions .

7. Will You Tell Me Something Scary or Bad?

Many clients worry about hearing frightening messages — especially about health or death. We specifically don't answer questions about death or health. So you can relax knowing that our approach to readings is governed by honesty, compassion and integrity.

If Spirit gives difficult information, we deliver it gently and lovingly. You may feel emotional (many people cry), but it’s often because the message brings comfort, closure, or truth you’ve needed. Clients often tell us that it is the first time they truly felt "seen" by someone.

Readings are loving, compassionate, and empowering. The purposes of Mediumship are to bring healing, hope, direction and clarity.

8. Can Mediumship Help Me Find My Purpose or Direction?

Yes — especially when Spirit shows you how past events, pain, or patterns have shaped your path. Many clients leave feeling clearer, more motivated, and ready to live more authentically. Mediumship can be both a bridge to the past and a beacon for your future. This deeper understanding supports you beyond the reading itself.

9. How Should I Prepare for a Mediumship Reading?

Preparation is key. Come with an open heart. You don’t need to meditate, fast, or “do” anything special beforehand. But we recommend writing down specific questions or topics you want clarity on. Spirit responds to clarity.

If you are doing an "online" reading then find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be interrupted, have tissues, a drink nearby, and consider recording the session so you can listen again later.

10. Is Mediumship Safe? Am I Opening Myself Up to Something Dark?
